Tara Natalia is a filmmaker and producer living in a lakeside beach town in rural Ontario. Her artistic practice explores nostalgia, sorrow, and fantasy through a mix of experimental analog film, animation, and digital moviemaking. Currently she is working on, ‘For the Sake of Memory’, an experimental retelling of her great-grandfather’s memoir. Her work has received support from the Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, Liaison of Independent Filmmakers Toronto, and the Baltic Analog Lab.

In September 2026, she will be starting her M.F.A in Alternative Cinema at York University.
